We respect your privacy and aim to collect as little data as possible.

2. Data You Enter in the App

ChessPrep allows you to store chess-related information directly on your device, including:

3. Data Processed by Third-Party Services

ChessPrep uses Google services for advertising and consent management.

Google Mobile Ads SDK

When ads are shown, Google Mobile Ads may process data such as device and advertising identifiers, IP address, app and device information, diagnostic information, and user interactions related to ads. This processing is handled by Google and may be used for ad delivery, fraud prevention, security, and measurement.

Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)

If required by applicable law, ChessPrep uses Google's User Messaging Platform to collect and store the user's ad consent choices. This includes consent status and related privacy preferences.

4. Permissions Used

ChessPrep may request the following Android permissions:

ChessPrep does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or phone call data.

5. How Your Data Is Used

We do not sell your locally stored chess data.

6. Data Sharing

Your locally entered chess and preparation data is not sent to our servers.

However, data may be processed by Google and its partners when ads or consent flows are used in the app, according to their own policies and systems.

Your chess preparation data remains on your device until you delete it.

8. Security

We aim to minimize data collection.

Your chess preparation data is intended to remain in the app's local storage on your device and is not stored on our own servers. Data processed by Google services such as ads or consent is handled by those services under Google's own infrastructure and policies.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely risk-free, but we take reasonable steps to limit unnecessary data exposure by keeping core user data local whenever possible.

9. GDPR / EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If required by applicable law, users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland may be shown a consent form before personalized ads are displayed.

Where supported by the consent framework in use, users can review or change their privacy choices from within the app.

10. Children

ChessPrep is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through our own systems.

13. Google Play Data Deletion Clarification

ChessPrep does not provide user account creation.

Because there is no account system, there is no account to delete. Instead, users can remove locally stored app data from their device through the app's settings or by clearing app storage on Android.
